Fish caught and cleaned by children on the shore of the Brokopondo reservoir in the village of Lebidoti, Suriname.  The man-made lake was hastily created by flooding a vast acreage of jungle without any prior logging and evacuation of animals and is reputed to be polluted by mercury from unregulated gold mining..
